After learning of the birth of Circe's son Telegonus by Odysseus she attempts to kill him, having heard a prophecy that the boy will be the cause of his father's death. She is the patron of Odysseus during the Trojan war however is deeply offended when he defiles her temple during the sack of Troy and makes his voyage back to Ithaca nearly impossible. Circe is distressed to hear this and vows not to interact with the rest of the world anymore, gods and mortals alike.Īthena: Athena is the olympic goddess of war and wisdom. On the island, she wears her hair in braids and ties her skirts to keep them out of the way. Her voice is thin and her eyes are yellow. Being a goddess, she is taller than the average mortal woman.
